About
Written from inside the loop
Most CISO interview advice is written by people who have never sat in one, on either side of the table. This site is the exception.
CISO Prep is built and written by a sitting security executive at a large technology company and, right now, a candidate running live CISO interview loops at multiple companies.
That last part is the point. Every guide here is sourced from questions that were actually asked in real interviews, usually within weeks of being published. When a panel invents a new way to probe your board readiness or a recruiter surfaces a new comp structure, it becomes content here, with the context of what they were really testing.
Why the byline is a brand, not a name
Because the author is actively interviewing. A hiring committee googling a finalist shouldn't find their “how to negotiate CISO comp” playbook mid-negotiation, and you probably feel the same about your own search. When the author's loop concludes, the name gets attached. Until then, judge the material on whether it's true, specific, and useful.
Editorial standards
- Every guide contains details a generic article physically cannot know: real questions, real panel dynamics, real offer terms.
- All written guides are free, in full, forever. No paywalled articles.
- Revenue comes from one thing: the Template Pack, for people actively in the loop.
- Guides are updated as the market moves; every page shows its last-updated date.
